Jeweled lashes twist and flail
Beneath a brow of perfect
Dizzying in solitude
She sits atop her glacial throne,
A brittle artifact of light.
Disaster binds the ancient ones
Into a timeless frieze
Of sighs and sounds
No mortal man could ever hear,
No beating hearts confound.
See, there she is, this icebound gem,
Her shifting, arcane crystal dance
Too dangerous to be touched, yet
Wrapped in silken threads of mercy and delight,
Too shining to be left alone.
